Wolfgang Tschegg is an Austrian musician who makes beautiful and tender original music with electric guitars, bassoons, and his wonderful voice.

I had heard Wolfgang's music via Pat Fish for several years, but it was not until New Year's Eve, 2000 that I finally got to meet the man - as we both were houseguests of The Jazz Butcher then.

The previous night, he had tried to play the traditional Viennese New Year's song The Blue Danube, but in Pat's tiny front room, the record player kept skipping the moment anyone started to dance. I think he was disappointed.
