I was lucky by Junior year to escape the normally dinky room assignments and I ended up in one of the biggest rooms on campus. It was on the top floor of one of the two towers - an octagonal room about 30 feet across.

And it had access to a flat roof area outside one window..

This area was above all other floors, and it had a 3 foot wall, so the entire area was enclosed and private. It made the perfect escape-from-life and is the setting for this photograph.

Here, I am shooting onto Orthographic film - this is a very "slow" film which is normally used to duplicate line drawings and the like. With an ASA of about 10, it requires quite a bit of light to take an image.
